Katrina & Dylan – Azul Fives Destination Wedding

Katrina & Dylan’s Azul Five’s Destination Wedding

I’m sure that finding her future husband was the last expectation Katrina had when she crashed a wedding in southern Alberta a couple of years ago. Fate had a hand in this one as this gorgeous couple met that night and nothing, including long distance, has kept them apart since.

Accompanied by their close friends and families, Katrina and Dylan were married by Katrina’s aunt on the beaches of Playa Del Carmen at the Azul Fives resort. Their day was full of sunshine, the perfect amount of wind, a lot of laughter, and a pink moon that rose as their guests enjoyed their meals (and in true K&D fashion, ribs were included).

From the moment I met these two, their connection was clear. They live their lives in a genuine way with a ton of laughs along the way. Spending a week with them in Mexico allowed me to see where they got this from. They come from families that are so welcoming, authentic, and full of love. Their group of friends is the exact same way. I couldn’t have felt more welcomed by a group of strangers than I did and the influence they have had on Kat and Dylan is so clear. Destination weddings allow me the chance to get to know the couple and their bridal party and this is always something I am thankful for.

The Azul Fives resort was beautiful, relaxing, accommodating and would be high on any list of family-friendly resorts to be married at. With various ceremony and reception locations, customizable decor, meals, and services, and the beautiful backdrop, I would feel confident recommending the resort to any couples looking at a destination wedding. The resort is full of all of the options your guests need for a relaxing stay.

Please join me in congratulating these two on their marriage and wishing them nothing but the best in the coming years.

Here are a few of my favourite photographs from Katrina and Dylan’s destination wedding.
