Katrina and Dylan met me at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre in Red Deer, Alberta to spend a couple hours laughing, dancing, and celebrating their engagement with a photo session. The laughter flowed throughout the entire session and these two mastered being authentic and real in their images.
I will be travelling with Katrina, Dylan, their families, and best friends to Mexico in the spring for their destination wedding. I can only imagine how much fun will be had!
I have recently begun asking my engagement couples to spend some time individually writing something down to tell the other person at the end of the session. I asked these two to write down something that made them proud of the other person. Near the end of our time together, we looked around for somewhere to sit and found this log that would be perfect. I handed the pieces of paper to each of them and backed away to let them have a quiet, intimate moment together. Katrina mentioned earlier that Dylan was the creative one and would likely have something romantic and deep written down. I was far enough away to let them have a moment alone, but when Dylan began to speak, I caught just enough to begin to giggle behind the camera. Dylan was proud of Katrina for the amount of
ribs and bacon she can eat in one sitting. If that isn’t relationship goals, I don’t know what is!
