Larissa and Johnny joined hands in marriage on a sunny Saturday in May at the Polish Veterans Hall in Edmonton. A few years back, they met at a mutual friend’s pyjama party and spent the evening hanging out together. At the end of they night, they went their separate ways and multiple attempts to hang out afterward fell through. Their lives went different ways and months later, a fateful meeting at West Edmonton Mall brought them back together. Their connection brought them together instantly and their love grew quickly. Three years later, John got down on one knee in the desert pyramid at the Muttart Conservatory.
From the minute I met these two back in October, I fell in love with their quirkiness and love for their pup, Fifi. Larissa had come across some of my puppy boudoir work and we connected right away over dogs.
Their wedding day started off at a family home in Edmonton and the two shared their first look on the ravine trail nearby. Shortly afterwards, they travelled to the Polish Veterans Hall where they were married by a close family friend. The ceremony included so many personal touches including, much to Larissa’s surprise, her favourite childhood teddy bear and Johnny’s Back to the Future DVD. The looks on their faces when their officiant pulled them out of a bag were priceless.
Their reception was full of laughter, dancing, and the yummiest cupcakes from Cake Affair (best wedding trend ever!). They danced the night away and the following morning Larissa’s sister, and maid of honour, welcomed a baby girl.
All the best Larissa, Johnny, and Fifi!
